Everyday, I feel like it's just getting closer and closer. What you may ask? The one year mark of the birth of the little princess! I can't believe a year has already almost gone by, it's just so hard to accept that time really does fly when you're having fun AND when you become a parent.
That's not to say that there are no rewards for time well spent, I might add. It's been truly the ultimate blessing to watch my little princess grow up so fast. It seriously wasn't that long ago that the little monster couldn't even sit up by herself and now she's trying to walk! Yes I said walk! I just know as the time keeps passing us by, that I'm going to get to watch this little life my hubby and I brought into this world, grow and gain her own vasts amount of knowledge. As a new parent it's been a definite roller coaster of thrills and what not, but the bottom line..at the end of everyday I am beyond grateful for what I have smiling back at me. :3 Momma loves her little girl!
In other reports!
Princess has been expanding her taste buds! I'm currently on the goal line to have her weaned from nursing before her birthday next month, so far so good! No formula usage or anything! Though I do need to do some more research on these 'toddler' forumlas that have the DHA added into it. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm going to talk to her doctor about all the matters as well, but it's always nice to get feedback from other parents as well.
This may also just be me, but it seems that she's starting to figure out the meaning behind some words...either that or she is relating words to a situation. Then again isn't that the same? Eiiiiither way, the reason why I say this is because she's been saying "Uh-oh" before she does something that usually gets her a scolding. Oi, oi, oi, this little girl of mine hehe, but at least she is getting the concept of what an 'Uh-oh' is.
I also can't recall if I mentioned this in the last post, but where as she was only barely climbing up onto low level objects, the princess is now climbing/pulling herself up onto objects more than half her height. Maybe when she's older a climbing net on the wall would prove to be use to soothe her need to climb. Hmm...that's something we'll have to get Ole Blackbeard's opinion on...
In the meantime, I currently have Princess wanting to go play so I'm off!

Current Milestone Report for 2014
Ahoy there!! Welcome one and all, just thought I'd do a bit of an update on the little fox of my life and her current milestones!
As of right now, my Princess is ten months old. She has seven teeth, with several more coming in. She eats solids! Her favorites could be listed as ANYTHING with pasta and red sauce, fresh fruits (blueberries especially), veggies of all kinds, as well as chicken and lamb for her preferred meats. She's still on the momma milk, but she does drink some crisp water and some lightly sweetened chamomile tea before her naps.
Princess has also mastered the art of crawling about at different speeds and right now has been practicing trying to stand alone. Which hopefully means she will be walking sometime soon! <3 <3 <3 a mommy can only hope right?
She's weighing in at 19.5 lbs, and is nearly 2 feet tall! other skill sets include: impeccable hand-eye coordination, this little girl loves to dance to music, she's recently added climbing into her skills, as well lifting herself up and clapping! Aside from her responding accordingly to her moods in addition to others, she's also very social with children of all age groups who are willing to play with her. Kisses and clapping are what we are currently working on as we continue to hone her fine motor skills and texture exploring. As of right now I believe the edible finger paints I've made for her were a great success! (pics to come soon) Any suggestions on developmental activities are always welcome! Music has been a big key role in her development as well as art, this little princess just adores to sing along to songs, dance, and she also enjoys playing the instruments that we have available to her. (Ukulele, Guitar, Harp, Piano) Though I know she especially loves guitar time with her Daddy. <3 I'd definitely like to get her in on some percussion instruments once she gets a little older. As far as language development, she babbles several words such as Dada, Dadee, Nuhnuh, EEE, uuhoo, yaya, Paa, and mama. I'm working on teaching her English and Spanish as well as German hopefully and maybe French, but one step at a time!
Personality aspects of her development could be logged as her being a very excitable, enthusiastic, lively and loving little girl. She can be a bit of a bully to bullies, or when she gets cranky for nap time. (When she does sleep...) She may be a bit on the abundantly active side, but I'm still taking notes on the matter.
Media wise, I've been introducing her into a few animated shows that I grew up on as well as my husband such as: Pokemon, Sailor Moon, Justice League, Jem and the Holograms, DragonBall Z, Barbie's Dreamhouse, Strawberry Shortcake. Lord knows there's a whole mess of things in between.
The Little Fox Princess is still highly attached to me, and we are working through the seperation anxiety that she gets. I really don't enjoy the cry methods, so I'm trying to find different ideas that can work for us. Once again suggestions are always welcome.
That concludes the report for the day! More updates soon! Including the introduction of Daddy and Tia Lala!
Stay Frosty out there friends and family.

Project To-Do List
Ballerina Dress bow holder! Princess has tons of beautiful bows that I have stored away in a lovely hat box right now; however making one of these would be a great way to display all those cute bows. Also it'll have a place to put all the ones I'm going to make her. @_@
My Little Fox definitely needs this amongst her little critter friends. hehe
As well as Socktopus'!!

Craft Recipes
Here's some craft recipes I'm going to be making soon. I'll post pictures of the process soon enough!
Clay Dough- (aka playdoh)
Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1/4 cup salt
2 tbsp. cream of tartar
2 tbsp.oil
1 cup water
food coloring of choice
Directions:
Mix all ingredients, except for water in a medium pot. Gradually add water and mix again. Set the pot on a medium heat and cook, while mixing for 3-5 minutes. When the dough forms a ball in the middle of the pot, it’s ready. Take it out of the pot, cool, knead and get ready to play!
Optional: Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to the cooked dough, or even glitter!
